We roll six days a week from Randwick Gates, Centennial Park.
Training rides
Randwick training rides roll from Randwick Gates, Centennial Park every day except on Monday. Randwick members access detailed ride information, and sign on for all rides, via the Randwick TeamApp. Other ad-hoc rides will be communicated on a week-to-week basis, and all rides are graded, based on expected effort. Rides specifically for femmes are organised frequently.
We encourage beginners and new club members to join our Friday coffee ride for their first club ride. This is a recovery pace ride from Centennial Park to La Perouse and back, followed by coffee in the park. We ask you to contact us before the ride, so we can answer any questions you might have, learn a little about you and your cycling goals, and make sure the ride leader is expecting you.
Our weekday rides remain in and around Sydney’s eastern suburbs, while weekend rides regularly go to Cronulla, Kurnell, Waterfall and beyond on Sunday mornings. On the first weekend of the month (FoM), and long weekends, the club often rides north to Akuna Bay, Palm Beach, Bobbin Head and/or the 3 Gorges.
Riding Safely
We work hard on riding safely and have measures in place to make our rides as safe as possible so all riders are confident in the bunch. We ask all members to make themselves familiar with the club’s ride etiquette, and wear their club kit on all club rides. We try to have a ride leader on each ride, and junior riders must seek approval from the Junior Sub-Committee before participating in road-training rides.
It is important to hold a current Race or Lifestyle licence through AusCycling so that you and fellow cyclists are covered for insurance purposes.
